the max13046e/max13047e are ±15kv esd-protected, single-/dual-channel, bidirectional level translators. these devices save board space while providing enhanced protection for applications that route signals externally. to save space, these level translators integrate robust esd-protection circuitry in tiny µdfn, tdfn, and utqfn packages. the max13046e/max13047e are ideal for data transfer between low-voltage asics/plds and higher-voltage systems.
sunnyvale, ca—august 18, 2008—maxim integrated products (pink otc markets: mxim) introduces the max13046e/max13047e ±15kv esd-protected, single-/dual-channel, bidirectional level translators. designed to provide level shifting for data transfer in multivoltage systems, these devices accept a vl voltage from 1.1v to either 3.6v or (vcc + 0.3v), whichever is lower, and a vcc from 1.65v to 5.5v. over these specified voltage ranges, the max13046e/max13047e operate at a guaranteed data rate of 8mbps; within specific voltage domains, higher data rates are possible. integrating ±15kv esd-protection circuitry in tiny µdfn, tdfn, and utqfn packages, these devices save board space while providing enhanced protection for applications that route signals externally. consequently, the max13046e/max13047e are ideal for data transfer between low-voltage asics/plds and higher-voltage systems.
the max13046e/max13047e also feature thermal short-circuit protection and a shutdown mode that reduces the supply current to less than 1µa. fully specified over the -40°c to +85°c extended temperature range, the max13046e is available in a 1mm x 1.5mm, 6-pin µdfn package, while the max13047e is available in 2mm x 2mm, 8-pin tdfn and tiny, 1.4mm x 1.8mm, 10-pin utqfn packages. prices start at $0.90 (1000-up, fob usa).
